REPORT OF WEBINAR ON “NATIONAL YOUTH DAY 2025” ON 12TH JANUARY 2025

On January 12, 2025, the NSS Wing of the college, in collaboration with the Department of Economics and IQAC, organized a webinar through Google Meet to commemorate National Youth Day 2025. The theme of the webinar was “Youth and Bharat: Leading the Global Change Together”. The resource person for the event was Prof. Basharat Hussain, Head of the Department of Economics, GDC Uttersoo. The program was held under the able guidance of the Principal, Prof. Mushtaq Ahmad Sohil.

 

The webinar began with a warm welcome address by Prof. Rouoof Habib, NSS Program Officer, who also moderated the event. The program was officially inaugurated with inspiring words from the Principal, Prof. Mushtaq Ahmad Sohil. Prof. Rouoof Habib introduced the esteemed resource person, Prof. Basharat Hussain, setting the tone for an insightful session.

During his talk, Prof. Basharat Hussain emphasized the significance of celebrating National Youth Day and highlighted the life and teachings of Swami Vivekananda, who remains a beacon of inspiration for the youth. He pointed out that with over 65% of its population being young; India holds a strategic advantage with its youthful demographic. He elaborated on the rapid progress India is making in various sectors, including digital technology, space exploration, and education. Prof. Hussain also shed light on globally recognized government initiatives like Start-Up India and Make in India, which aim to empower the youth and propel the nation forward.

Prof. Basharat Hussain encouraged students to set clear goals, devise actionable plans, and work diligently to achieve their aspirations. He also discussed the importance of aligning long-term and short-term goals with the activities conducted in educational institutions.

The session concluded with an engaging question-and-answer segment. More than thirty students actively participated in the webinar, reflecting the enthusiasm and curiosity of the attendees.

   

The entire program was expertly moderated by Prof. Rouoof Habib, NSS Program Officer, and concluded with a vote of thanks. The webinar was a resounding success, leaving the participants motivated and inspired to contribute positively to India's growth and development.
