Workshop Report: Hands-On Training on Uploading Data to a Website

Introduction

The workshop aimed to provide participants practical skills in uploading data to a website. This training was designed for individuals who are new to web content management or those looking to refresh their skills.

Objectives:

       To familiarize the participants with the process of uploading data to the college website.

       To provide hands-on experience in navigating the website’s content management system.

 

Workshop Agenda:

The workshop started with the inaugural address by our Worthy Principal, Prof Mushtaq Ahmad Sohil, who highlighted the need for the college website and the importance for the faculty members to understand the uploading of data related to admissions, examinations, timetables, various activities conducted by various committees of the college on the college website, etc. 

Mr. Ummar Muhammad, the resource person started his address with the need to decentralize the process of website development and maintenance and the need to acquaint the faculty members with the necessary skills regarding the same. He made us understand the various features related to the preparation of data and uploading the same on the college website.

 

Every participant was allotted a computer system and practically performed the operations, the resource person demonstrated on his computer system. The resource person made the participants understand the uploading process in a step-by-step manner like logging into the website, navigating the dashboard, uploading various types of content, and editing and uploading the existing content on the college website. The Participants practiced uploading data under the supervision of a resource person. He also made the participants understand how to identify and resolve common errors during the upload process and highlighted the tips for ensuring data integrity and accuracy.

 

The program concluded with the question-answer session, in which various participants posed questions to the resource person, which were answered to the highest level of satisfaction. Participants reported a high level of satisfaction with the workshop by highlighting the following:

       The hands-on approach made learning effective.

       Clear explanations and demonstrations facilitated understanding.

       The opportunity to practice in real-time was particularly valuable.

 

The workshop successfully achieved its objectives, equipping participants with the necessary skills to upload data confidently on a website. Continued training sessions could further enhance their capabilities in web management.
