| The Department of History was established in 2008 and was one of the founding Departments of Government Degree College Uttersoo. The department offers B.A course with combinations Sociology, Education, Economics, Political Science and Islamic studies. The department has maintained a History Museum. The department has one position of Assistant Professor and one position of Lecturer on academic arrangement. The roll of students is satisfactory. | |||

As Head of the Department, it gives me immense pleasure to welcome all those students who have opted history as one of their subject at graduation level. I wish them good luck & a bright future ahead. History is a dynamic subject, which links past with the present & prepares a platform for new research in the academic fields. Faculty in the department helps its students to fully understand the various changes & evolution those have taken place from time to time before they have attained their present position.
